Now the foundation is being approached by many above knee amputees needing the same support, we appeal to all to join us in this programme.
  • Many amputees are not able to come to Bangalore for fitment, as many are below poverty line, they need to be supported with Rs.1000/-,for the three day programme, which includes their bus fare, food including the attendee they may bring. Anga Karunya Kendra has supported the foundation’s project by offering accommodation free to the amputees.

Short term volunteer efforts : -

Teaching English to our rural government school children for short period of three months, on Fridays or Saturdays for about 11/2 hours: fluency in Kannada is essential for effective communication.

Transportation is not provided by the foundation. After the initial introduction of the volunteer to the school they have to make their own arrangement.

This would mean that you may have to travel probably 30 to 40 kms by bus to the rural government school. The programme would amount to half a day.
Motivating the children to speak English: conversational English.
Educate them the ways of the modern world for what it is.
Talk to them about the environment, forests, animals, health related issues, waste management, plants, to the others of the same village, etc.
Adult education in a small way.
Community based programmes in co ordination with the stree Shakti groups.
Teach them games, yoga, karate etc. just sharing knowledge.
